Can I print on your paper?
Yes you can - all our main papers (ellie poo, rhino poo, banana, grass, bank note, straw buff, denim) while 100% recycled are machine made and can be printed on using ink jet, laser, digital, litho, screen, letterpress, etc. BUT please check your own specific printer's technical spec to see the maximum weight it will take. Most inkjets happily handle up to approx 140gsm which covers most of the paper weights but you must check your own printer's spec to be safe. If you want to print on the heavier weights and your printer can't handle it, just take it to any professional printer who should be able to print it for you.
With our handmade/seeded papers we recommend screen or letterpress as the best print methods to use. And while we certainly don't recommend it, there are professional printers around the country who happily and successfully print using litho.

Can I get to see the paper being made?
Yes. The mill is a full visitor attraction. Ring 01442 231234 for details of opening times and prices.
Do you get off-cuts or end of lines?
Yes, we sell those in a scrap box. The contents is all stuff that may not match the new pack so we sell it off at a low price. Not only does the scrap box contain paper, it may also contain other things such as envelopes, seeded papers, petal papers, etc, although these are not normally full size pieces.
Can I get paper made to my specifications?
Yes. This has been very popular over recent years. We have had distilleries wanting their own paper made out of peat/draff, sports stadiums wanting paper made with grass from their pitch, Zoos and Safari Parks wanting paper made using their own animal dung, etc, etc. And once we have made the paper we can then turn it into branded books, jotters, stationery sets, etc. We can even make our seeded (growable) paper to your requirements either by hand for smaller quantities (100 large sheets) or by machine for larger quantities. We can do this for most types of seeds but most popular are wildflower and the different varieties of herbs. Just call us to discuss your ideas and will do what we can to help you. A minimum order will apply to paper made especially for you.
